During the past two
years, I have been working on statistical analysis and computer modelling of volcanic eruptions. My goal is to understand the processes responsible for the creation of volcanic edifices and volcanic eruptions. My Master’s thesis was focused on landslides monitoring techniques so I guess we can say that I’m into natural hazards! When I’m not sitting in from of my computer in B&G, I go outdoors and rock climb, ski, run, play and try to have as much fun as I can!

As a scientist, I have been involved in different project in Antarctica, Iceland, Mongolia, Morocco, Paraguay, Poland, and recently in Canada. I completed my both MSc titles in geography and geology at the University of Warsaw, Poland after long but fascinating 10 years of studying.

Since April 2009, I have spent more than 34 weeks in the northern peatlands of the Hudson Bay Lowlands (HBL), intimately involved with a multi-university research team working to provide crucial baseline data on peatland surface and subsurface hydrology, meteorology, geology, and biogeochemistry.
When I’m not doing science, I spend my time listening to and playing music, canoeing, snowboarding, travelling, reading, taking pictures, and endlessly browsing the Internet.
